At the nature site 'Les Plomarc'h'

Summary

 

Along the cliffs, overlooking Douarnenez, you'll discover the path of Plomarc'h.

This ancient village guards treasures of the past, such as old wash-houses where locals would meet to work and gossip, old houses that have been converted into basic gîtes and the great containers that used to hold fish oils are now one of the major Gallo-Roman archaeological sites in Europe.  

Les Plomarc'h is a site that has inspired many painters, a place that encourages flights of fancy and local folklore.

Follow our guide and she'll reveal the history and legend that make this place so very special.


 

 


Information

Days:  Low season: Thursdays at 3pm

mid June to end August: Thursdays at 5.30pm 

Duration: 2 hours


Difficulty: easy.
Except for wheelchairs, pushchairs and those with mobility difficulties. 


Advice: Sturdy, comfortable shoes advised.

Meeting place: children's play area at the entrance to the Plomarc'h site.

For larger groups, please ask.
