Douarnenez and the Sardine's Tale

 April to October

NB Guided visit currently in French only, but do ask for the Sardine Trail leaflet which you can do on your own!

Summary

This guided walk reveals the very soul of Douarnenez and with it, the saga of the Sardine, whose existence is inextricably linked to this town.

Through the streets and narrow alleyways with their 19th century architecture, find the traces of a once-vibrant fishing industry hidden among the houses.

Stroll along the old port that guards all the ancient memories of Douarnenez up to sailor's shelter, sacred spot for fishermen.
