Our natural beauties
The region of Douarnenez, nestling in its own bay, is famous for being a land of 1001 colours. We are spoilt by a rich natural heritage that we are more than happy to share with our visitors!
Plomarc'h Farm Park A FREE farm park with play area, picnic spots and seaviews. Come and see the pigs, horses, sheep, chickens, rabbits and goats - bring a few crusts if you like! For grown-up visitors, there are stone fishermen's cottages, kitchen gardens, and even an archaeological site - all FREE.
The mysterious Tristan Island Steeped in legend and tantalisingly out of reach unless the tides allow you in: be sure to book your guided visit!
Coastal walks The hiking trail known as the GR34 runs along the Douarnenez coast, east towards Chateaulin and west towards the Pointe du Raz, which is 36km by car or 63km on the coastal path!
Walks and mountain bike trails make this beautiful local woodland perfectly accessible.
Whether the sky is grey or blue, the natural beauty of our region always works its magic!
