POULDERGAT  

Meaning: from the Breton ‘Poul-Ergat', meaning ‘the parish of St Ergat'

Population: 1300 inhabitants, known as ‘pouldergatois'

 

This small, rural village is a haven for nature lovers, offering:

 

27 km of designated paths and cycle routes, known as ‘le circuit des Moulins'.

 

  • Local heritage that has been carefully preserved: manors and sculptures, large crosses hewn from granite, fountains and wash-houses...
  • Mills and rivers running through the countryside: sure to delight all freshwater fishermen (trout). 
  • Church from the 16th century, boasting complex architecture and pleasantly situated in the heart of this well-maintained community.
